Ponshu
Ponshu is a Japanese Izakaya located in Calgary. We helped Ponshu since it was first established in 2020. We created its entire brand, logo, website, menu, and social media presence. Ponshu is a family-oriented restaurant but is also edgy and modern enough to cater to the younger generations. It has a fun and vibrant atmosphere, that is perfect for any occasion.
About Ponshu
A little bit about Ponshu ポン酒 the Japanese word translates to sake; Japanese wine.
Ponshu was created by 3 hard-working Japanese Chefs including Chef Takeshi of Ajito.
It's a family-oriented Japanese Izakaya with unique Japanese dishes made to cater to the Canadian palate.
Ponshu’s uniforms were also designed by Mach Media. The goal was to create a uniform that catches the eye and is also worthy of wearing for staff of any age.
In collaboration with ForandWith, we’ve created a simple yet impactful logo for Ponshu.
The standalone icon was designed to mimic Japanese Sake bottles. The logotype gives the brand a clean and modernist look with a little edge from the edit to the ‘n’ in the word.
Ponshu’s menu was inspired by Japanese travel magazines. The menu was made into a magazine-type booklet with light/shiny paper and with each page flipping into different sections of the menu.
